Snow Bake Love....

It just keeps on asnowin' here in western Pa. So it seemed like a perfect day to use up those frozen bananas and commence to baking !! This is a stellar banana bread recipe studded with walnuts and local Amish blueberries topped off with  a crunchy streusel topping !!! This will dazzle your family and friends and makes for an un4gettable Valentine gift !! Recipe to follow....

Grammie's Favorite Banana Bread

 Mix wet ingred...
2 1/3 c.mashed ripe bananas (3 med. bananas = approx.1 cup )
7/8 c. white sugar or scanter
2 eggs
1/2 c. canola oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingred......
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp.salt
1tsp.baking soda

Add dry ingreds. to wet ingred. just til moistened...Add your choice of chopped nuts, fresh or frozen blueberries ,a handful of this and a handful of that ! For added love top with streusel before baking...
Streusel: 1/3 c.flour, 1/4 c.br.sugar,1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 3T. cold butter- cut butter into flour and sugar...
Divide batter between  2 greased standard size loaf pans or adapt to fit the pans you might have...
Bake at 350 deg. til pick comes out clean  roughly 45 min. Enjoy the results !!
