One of the greatest joys of living here in western Pa. is the friendship of a wonderful Amish family. Shown here is a shot of myself and 2 of their 5 children. We got together here at our studio to research some Pa. history to meet their homeschooling requirements. They are so great ...
I found some awesome Amish dolls ,wooden signage, and a rocking chair with vintage art (most likely English made ) at a local flea market-I scored at a total of $5 !!! Also included is a jar of homemade concord grape juice canned by my good friend, Irene, who is of course a whiz at cooking , canning, and sewing. You cannot imagine how delicious this juice is, sugarless and so potent !!!! I am continually overwhelmed with the simplicity of their daily life and the peace they enjoy....

My friend, Mary Lou, gave me this little "HOPE" sign yesterday that she made...(thank you !) It reminded me how much I love words, type, signs, tags, reminders, and most importantly the WORD that gives us direction for everyday... oh,Halleluia....
